How much play in turbo?

While changing air cleaners I noticed turbo blades looked dirty. Grabbed shaft to spin turbo and discovered I could move shaft side to side more than I think is normal. If I hold shaft over to one side of it's play and try to spin it, it turns noticeably harder. I have the 16c housing and the truck has 129,000 miles.

Two questions: Is this normal? If not does anyone know where I can get a rebuild.

Per the shop manual-



For turbos with a serial # before 840638, end play(in and out)is . 004" min and . 006" max. For turbos after #840638, . 001 min and . 003 max.



Radial play(side to side). 012" min and . 018" max on both.
