There was a post on CompD where a guy had supplied his stocker with a high flowing electric and was seeing 87psig. I think that should be enough to keep up with most mods.

The tech at highly recommended turbo manufacturer told me that i would have to upgrade to a fass system at 350 to 400hp. It just didn't seem right to me. I have seen a lot of trucks running pretty high power levels without a fass system. The fact that joe did 800hp is reassuring

I have read on another forum that operation above about 45 PSI can cause IP seal problems. The stock LP is rated about 50 GPH depending on RPM. It's mechanical so the faster the engine turns the more fuel it pumps. Unlike an electrical which only pumps fuel a constant speed regardless of engine speed or demand. The stock lift pump is not going to fail because of a blown fuse or burning out. Very reliable gadget.

I made 534hp on 181dvs, stock lines, stock lift pump etc. I was running hot rod 370s, 3ks, a 10 plate slammed forward and 21 degrees timing... the smoke indicated I was nowhere near running out of fuel...

They say a standpipe in the tank helps, but realistically the piston pump the 12valves are built with is a freakin monster...
