Alright guys, my truck is at greatlakesdieselworks getting a sps 66 installed. Given my current mods plus this turbo how much power should I be making? Do you feel a lift-pump upgrade is necessary, either for power or cp3 longevity? What would be the next power/driveability mod I should consider, cam, injectors, other??? Or just leave well enough alone so my daily driver is still a daily driver?

With no pressure box or fuel pump, I put my money on 450 tops

I would be nervous turning up the TST with the factory lift pump set up. When I put my fuel pressure guage in I found out my old EZ on Level 4 would pull the cp3 inlet into a vacuum!!!

490 with no pusher pump or pressure box? highly doubt it. of course I am used to the days of when I was spinning the xtra tires on the back of my dually. It took me a turbo, pusher, pressure and TST to hit 490. A single rear wheel truck might do it. I haven't spun the rollers with my new one yet. :D

yeh, with a pressure box, he doesn't have one. KillerB64/12turbo, plenty of fuel pressure, TST and quadzilla pressure got me 496.

Yes, your next mod should be a pusher pump or go all out and get ride of the air with a fass or airdog. I would also look into a intake kit, you need more air for that turbo. After that go for the pressure box either edge ez or bullydog. That will get you well into the 600 hp range.

Thanks for the replies. I helped (actually I watched) Greg at GLDW, install the sps 66 on my truck today. Close to bolt in, but had to persuade the transmission dipstick tube to give some space. Engine side studs on the exhaust manifold were pain in the *** also due to very little clearance on the bottom side of the turbo. I've been told not to flog it for the first 2-3 hundred mi. Thats pretty tough!!!

Most of my drive time is spent granny style, and the turbo shows no lag in that regard, very stockish. It is slower to come up under heavy throttle but when it lights, truck feels like a rock coming out of a sling shot. Thats with tst on 3,3 cant wait for tst on 7,7.

The consensus seems to be "get the lift pump", guess I'll get the Fass and quit worrying about it.

I'd bet not more than 430 on a dynojet. That turbo will be a touch laggy and the dynojet doesn't give much load to get it rolling. The standard TST program doesn't fuel till 12 psi boost so it's be a wait, wait, wait, wait, WHOOSH!!! With the twins program to get it moving the numbers could be up around 460-480.

Hey! did you copy my dyno ?! (j/k)

hahaha, I guess were both searching for the magic "500" huh? ;)

I am on the lookout for that 500 number this weekend at Scheid's. Killer B2 should be here just in time. For a comparison with a stock pump no pressure AFE stage 1 and donaldson muffler and TST on level 6/5 my truck put down 425. Now i have ATS stage V transmission, no muffler, Edge EZ, FASS pump and new turbo going on thursday. I'll post some numbers next week.

I finally got a chance to start putting some fuel to my sps66. I've only taken the tst to 5,5 but wow, a whole different kick in the pants than the stock turbo.
