Why are you wanting to sell it. Sounds like your well on the way to fixing it up to your liking. Unless it is money needed or can be used for a college education. Any way check your local paper for prices an consider your mods your leaving on it an then consider a price that you can live with. Give yourself a little lead way to negotiate. :D

I went to Kelley Blue book. Not knowing your zip code I used one for St. Louis, MO (my hometown) since you;re in Illinois I figured they;d be similar numbers..... private party value for your truck is listed at $32,000. This is what bluebook value is if YOU sell it outright.

i'm curious as to the decision to sell also... you've been here asking questions and getting excited about it (and rightfully so)... why the sudden change??

The trouble he will have with that is the deals dealers are making. Just today a friend of mine priced an 04. 5 2500 4x4 SLT QC short bed Auto with upgraded cloth, power pedals, load floor etc. . for $34. 5 The truck lists over 40+

Weren't you shopping for wheels just yesterday?

Seems like you've continued to sink money into this thing even since your first post about selling it a month or two ago.

Not to be negative, but unless you put alot of money down, you won't even get too close to what you owe on it.

Best of luck though. Word of mouth here may be one of your best bets.

Will you still post here daily after you sell it?

What color is the interior? what kind of MPG you get in that thing 65/level/unloaded? Let me know when you come up with a price... 32 is a little high... let's start at 25 and work our way up ;)

Realistically, I'd give you 28,000.

If I were to buy a used truck, I'd want it to be totally STOCK. That way, I'd know it hadn't been abused, modified, or hacked. Not saying you hacked your truck, just that I'd want a gently used truck. One that hadn't been changed at all. Something that I could make mine without worrying about warranty issues.

You did good... ... !

Geez, wonder if I could get my mom to buy my truck and give me her Avalon... ... and I still get my new '04. 5 3500????

Wait... . I aint that lucky... . never mind... .

Good for ya guy.....

I might be selling my '01 to a co-worker, so I'll at least still see it around.

Nick, would your dad like to buy my truck also?

Spooled-up, I'd sell you my truck for 28,000. It's bone stock, and out of warranty. It'd be perfect for you to start BOMBING. :D

Nick: Sounds like a good deal that you an your Dad have made. You are making a smart move by going to college on a full time basics. I have a 21 year old daughter that had a 4. 0 GPA an through it all away to go live with a, as we refer to a (Bum), that quit school when he was 16 an was telling her, and us that he was so smart that he was able to graduate at 16. My daughter now holds down three jobs an he has somewhat part-time to full time one job. Hopefully she will wake up someday from my bad dream. Sounds like your Dad is trying to really help you out, so take advantage of his love for his son. Any way best of luck with the sell of your truck an your education. :D

I gave 29,000 for my 03 3500 with 19,000 with x liner tool box its a slt. I got it from a dealer. I could have done almost as good for an 04 with the green sheet but then i would owe my brother and it just aint worth it.
