Ahh, one of the joys of Spring in Colorado -- 70 degrees last Sunday, left my windows open a crack to keep the interior from cooking, and then forgot about it. Blizzard conditions yesterday, went to start my truck -- Argh! :-laf

Glad it had only been snowing for a few hours before I found it. I'm sure someone has had it a lot worse than this in their cab. Anybody got any stories or pictures of snowdrifts inside their truck?

Nope, what is that white stuff? Of course I've left the window rolled in a rainstorm. Nothing like discovering it on the way to work when theres nothing you can do about it.

Are you sure the windows were only down a little bit (sounds like a fish story to me)?:-laf

Yep, both were open less than half an inch. And I have the ventshade covers over the top part of the windows. But remember, I said blizzard conditions. Snow will go all over when it is being blown at 40mph.

WOW in the bottom pic you can see just how far down his windows were. Look at the snow line from rolling em back up ... maybee 1" ... that is it.

Looks like the drivers side was facing due west???

Good eye, Tim! I actually had to roll it down a bit first to break the window loose since it was frozen to the weatherstrip (my window motors seem to have a little more umph going down than up), so that frost line was moved up the window a little. The truck was parked heading basically south-southwest, so the passenger side was facing northwest, straight into the wind.

Been there, done that... went to FL last Feb, and left my windows cracked. It was 45-50 when I left, when I returned a week later, the cab was full of snow up over the dash. My neighbor just thought it was absolutely hilarious when he saw me shoveling snow out of the cab. Then he lent me a hand, and a week in his heated garage to thaw and dry it all out. :)

Ouch! Had it already started melting before you found it? That's a lot of snow. Fortunately I was able to blow most of mine out with a leaf blower, since nothing had started to melt in the cab yet. Did you have any troubles with any electrical switches, connections, etc. in the doors or dash?

no, no melting at all before I got to it. I shoveled out all that I could, then used a shop vac for the rest. the carpet got pretty damp, and I'll be replacing it soon... wanted charcoal instead of mist gray all along anyway!

the only issue I've had, is that the pass side door lock switch no longer works, but it may be completely unrelated... haven't even looked at it yet.

I DO have some trailer wiring issues, but I think that problem is a bad ground under the bed... now that the weather is getting nicer, I can tear into that project soon

Similar topic with winter----neighbor did not turn off the water to his pump in his RV at our resort up north here for 2 months over winter-----it hit -40C plenty of times. SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE,drip drip drip, entire 1/2 of the trailer underneath was a block of ice 8ft wide and about 16ft long:eek::eek::eek:----guess the heat tape did"nt work,
