How much $ to change from auto to 5 or 6 speed?

I'm having the usual problems with my 99' 4x4 auto. Is it possible to change over without blowing alot of cash? Or would it be better to bulletproof the one I have?

Maybe your really want a manual? Nothing wrong with that. To do it right, no shortcuts, I have heard of numbers in the $3800-$4000 range for a 5 speed. I'd assume a few hundred more for the 6.



I'm sure you could get a few bucks for your auto to help you save some money.

If you are interested in swapping out to a 5 or 6 speed you should call Dave Mitchell at Enterprise Engine. They have done quite a few, they recently put a 6 speed in his wife Loretta's 98. Everything looks like it was done from the factory. He gave me a price on the change over one day but I forget how much it was exactly. The number is (740) 246- 6329, I know they will help you with all that you need to know.
