My truck died on the side on the road tonight. Used the Bully Dog triple downloader to read the codes. It had 4 of them. One was high rail pressure. Another was low fuel pump. I can't remember the other two. Anyway, I'm assuming the factory fuel pump took a dump. I've been red flagged since July 2006 when two injectors broke and burnt my turbo (cost me over $3k for two stock injectors and I went with an aftermarket turbo HTB2). :{

Anyway, anticipating that the dealer will not cover the fuel pump replacement, does anyone know what this will set me back? :confused:

Injector or lift pump? I'm guessing lift? Depends on the dealer, but I would buy one from E-bay and install it yourself. It's not that hard.

The conversion pkg is close to $400 no labor :--) If you already have the in tank pump the part will be less

You have the Crazy Larry stacked with the Ramifier? Don't waste your money on another stock pump. Go with something aftermarket for about the same money and get the added performance. I have the same year truck you do and installed the GDP Walbro pump on mine several weeks ago. Can't believe I didn't do this sooner, it was a breeze and a kick *** pump to boot.

Did they make a change to intank pumps? I ordered a pump for a 03 and it came as a whole big intank kit, I am guessing the stock one wasnt in the tank.

sounds to me like your truck went through what mine just did with the big bills. My truck just got to 66,6_ _ miles and I burnt up the 48re while I was out of town and had a big tow bill to get home. Now my transmission is sitting in the living room tore apart and the house smells like burnt transmission fluid and clutch.
