whats up guys just a quick ? if i upgrand my stock trans to a good converter & valve body how mutch would it be able to take im looking to get to 350/400hp maybe with a 100 plate and injectors
If you have it cleaned up, resealed, and tolerances reset there should be no problem holding 400hp or slightly more with a good converter and valve body as long as you are resonable with the power. The only real problem can be an input shaft if you are at full throttle and bounce the rear of the truck. I had a customer that was doing fine with a Goerend converter and VB till he hit a bump in the road at wide open. THe truck bounced and when the tires hit the road again it snapped the input shaft clean off at the hub. No one else in this power range has had any problems with the transmission itself.
