I have had the hose from the turbo to the intercooler come off twice and split lengthwise once. Is there a correct torque spec for the clamps on this hose? I have a new hose from Dodge and it appears to be an inch longer which I am hoping will help keep it from migrating as easily. I'll be installing it tomorrow and am curious as to how tight I should make the clamps.

Andy

PS Is there an aftermarket alternative that works better?

Get the silicone hoses from Mr. Bobs would be my first choice. I already replaced that one and will be buying the rest of the kit here soon. I just crank them down till they are nice and tight, haven't lost one yet, even at 53 PSI.

You're running 53psi without studs? Any HG issues yet?

Not yet, have 211k on it also. Going to hopefully get it up on the rollers here in the next week or two, then I might lay off the injectors some. Shooting for 620 HP at the wheels, see what happens! :D Made 551 on the stock sticks in 60* hotter weather 40k miles ago, have some DD2's in there now and one of those pretty intake elbows now.

I'd also try using rubbing alch or hairspray to keep them from sliding off. Works on my 98. 5 -56psi and stock boots (used hairspray).
