How To Add A Third Brake Light??

I bought a LED light that I want to use as a third brake light on the tailgate of my utility/MC trailer. My question is: How do I wire it so it comes on with the brake lights but won't blink with the turn signals?

The only way I coud see is a seperate wire from the truck to trailer that only works the brake lights.

I've done what you are asking about on several trailers using a generic bosch

5 terminal relay. Wire 85 ground

86 from left turn signal

30 from right turn signal

87 to your new third brake light

There is a white with tan tracer wire at the left rear of the bed with a piece of shrink tube over the end of it. This is the feed for an aftermarket CHMSL. This wire will do the trick to run an LED Chmsl.
