There is a way to add an elbow to filler port of the transmission to raise the oil level in the transmission. Does any one know about this, or an article 'how to'

I almost did on mine but when I went to install it the street elbow didn't come out far enough to clear the upper housing, and I didn't have the correct size nipple handy.

I aborted the project and never got back to it.

You would also need to add a bracket to stand off and stabilize the plumbing. Without that it will fatigue fail due to vibration, then it's goodbye fluid and getrag.

An alternate approach might be using a hydraulic elbow then a length of hydraulic hose (could be braided stainless) leading up to the engine compartment, then support and cap it off with a custom made dipstick. That way you wouldn't have to get dirty checking the level. ;)

However you end up doing it make sure you epoxy the threads on the fittings to make sure they don't loosen or leak.

I heard you can add oil in one of the upper bolt holes for gthe pto cover . How ever I done this on other rigs before . Jack the fill side up really high to the point the truck is leaning the add the oil . But when i fill them i add oil until it runs out not to were you can feel it with your finger

Top bolt hole on the PTO cover, drivers side X2. You will need a fluid transfer pump. Another way is remove the shifter and pour it down the tower access. Works both ways. GregH
