How to adjust wastegate for more boost?

I have the SPS 66 and want to adjust the wastegate to go from 40 psi boost to 45 psi boost as I am still 1:1 drive:boost at 40 psi. Do I lengthen the actuator rod or shorten it? How many turns?



Before anyone asks, note that I took off the adjustable boost elbow and replaced with a stock elbow.

You run it in but the spring is very strong. It's easier to adjust the elbow and you get the same results.

Put the adjustable elbow back in use blue lock tight to hold the hex screw after adjust the boost where you want it. That actuator rod is a PIA to adjust.

yes, you shorten it. However as the others have said, you might want to try a boost elbow first.

If it works like mine, shortening it also has the benefit of holding it closed longer. Oo.
