I have the banks 14 waste gated housing and i want to get more boost out of it. do i need to turn the shaft so i see more threads or less. it is set at 37psi. i want 45psi

you are flying by the seat of your pants

to do it correctly the housing needs to be on a bench with a couple of gauges and a regulated air source.

if you want it done right

Yes make it shorter, I talked with PDR and thats what they told me to do. But it is a pain in the butt on the truck!!!!:{

is there something wrong with just messing with it until its right. that is really the only option i have right now.

Thanks

Trey

45 is too much if it is a hx 35 or Hy 35

It will just make thiner and hotter air. Yes it will be more pressure but it will have few oxygen molecules.

why is it hard just getting to it or do you have to undo something to turn it. I can get to it pretty easily through the fender well. it is going to be a hx 40 compressor.

I think 42 would be the highest I would go but every truck is different. What kind of turbo is it? I have done it to my PDR HX40 and yes it is a pain. You have to remove the C clip that holds the shaft to the lever to turn it. You have to pull the shaft down to the lever because it is under tension.
