My thermostat was acting up (that's another story) of late and I prepared to check it out, got a bucket to drain some coolant down to the thermostat level so I wouldn't lose any when I removed the stat. Crawled under the truck, turned the drain plug, pulled out, got a drip, tried it again, still only a drip. About this time I got smart and went for a pair of pliers to pull the plug out. It really worked, came all the way out, I tried to put it back with cold antifreeze running down my arm into my t-shirt, shirt and winter jacket. (remember the story about the monkey and the cork?) Couldn't stand it any longer so got out and let it drain. Guess it was time to change anyway. bg

THE DRAIN IS A PAIN

I had a hellofa time getting mine to drain, I consulted the tdr and tryed again and again finally with a pliers I got it I also put a hose on the drain spout so I could catch all the coolant. They probably could have made it easyer if they tried.

I also took a Dodge anti freeze bath Sunday, right before I smoked my clutch:rolleyes: . I' like to get my hands on whoever designed that drain.
