Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) how to change tps w/o other problems

I want to replace my tps but I want to know if there are any steps I need to take to avoid damaging other electronic components . For example, should I disconnect both batteries before disconnecting the tps.

No need to disconect the batt's but if it is a 12v you will NEED to adjust it.
