how to Chech for codes

I have heard that you can pull codes using a key on key off sequence. Does anyone know how to do it??

you cycle the key on and off 4 times ( I think) and leave it on the 4th time and where the miles are on the dash it will show a code if there is one

You only have to turn the key off and on 3 times. I think 4 times still works though
