I have a 99 24V truck that I need to check codes on that has a Powermax 3 with remote on it. What do I need to unhook on the PM3 to scan the truck. I assume the pump wire, boost senor feed and a can bus plug to the PM3. If they have a can bus wire like my Edge comp where is it on a 99. I did'nt see it below the fuel filter like on my 01. It's low on power and won't always accelerate when you mash the smoke pedal. I just replaced the lift pump which was dead and now suspect the pump or throttle sensor. I also talked the owner into a fuel pressure guage to go with the boost and pyro he already has. Thanks, Jake

There is no connection to the CAN bus with a pm3. It only connects to the MAP sensor, a 12v source, and the fuel pump wire. There is no need to disconnect anything, you can read the codes with the PM3 installed. Your MAP reading obviously won't be accurate because the PM3 modifies that signal to the ECM but other than that everything else should read normal.
