how do you check for codes on a 99 manufactured in 11/98

Easy and free way go to autozone, they will check it for you or you can buy a scan tool and check it yourselfe.

You can try turning the ignition on, off, on, off, on and not starting, but this feature seams to only work on 2000 and newer trucks. It worked on my 99 but it was a gaser and it does work on my 94 minivan.

The ignition check will not work on the 98. 5. Need to use scan tool. John.
