I have a real bad clunk when I turn a corner, everything up front is new except the steering gear box, I suspect the track bar bushings, how do you check them ?
The way I do it is with the engine running have a helper turn the steering wheel 1/2 to the right then back to center then 1/2 turn to the left repeating this over and over while I look for any movement in the joint on each end.
Cycling the steering like that with the wheels on the ground puts heavy load left and right on the bushings as the bar struggles to keep the axle housing centered under the frame.
