Competition twin sizing

I don't know the situation with you and Haisleys so I won't get into that but I will say a bit about my self being a customer of there's I have been a customer of Haisleys since January of 2006 and have nothing but good things to say about them!!! I have to admit they are about the hardest people to get hold of on the phone but in the end I find it worth the wait and I have nothing but prase for them!

Just over a year ago a simillar thread came up and I will just cut and paste my response of that post as to my feelings about them.

"After dealing with Patty, Van, Curt and Susan at HMR since January getting my engine totally built, comp puller clutch, street puller for my brothers truck (installed at there shop) and a slew of many many other parts and although they are hard to get a hold of (if you ever got a chance to be in there shop you would realize why!!!!) they are the nicest people I have ever met! Being from Canada I was kind of leary dealing out of country but all my thoughts were gone when Van, Patty and Kurt greeted my brother and I at there dore on Sunday afternoon in April. They gave us a tour and showed/told us stuff I never knew I would hear from anyone and was just amazed. They took us out for supper, lent us there car to go to the hottel with and alot of other stuff. The next day the work began and I was right under the truck watching the clutch come out! (up here you can't even be in the shop!!!!) I learned more being around Haisleys in 8 hours than I have since being involved in diesels!!!! They went out of there way with the customs paper work for me and getting everything back to Canada. I then decided I needed drive shafts from them... guess what... within 4 working days they were on my door step!

I have heard of people complaining about not being able to get a hold of them but there is a reason... they are a small shop of maybe 5 doing the work of 20+!!!

I am at the point right now that I won't even deal with anyone in Ontario because I got/get such good service from HMR.

All I can say is that they treated me like family and told me ALOT and in the begining I was just going to be buying a clutch so its not like they knew up front how much money I was going to spend!

Actually on another note... I was actually I just starting up the engine today for the first time and other than a few minor phone problems I was able to talk to Van and he answered all my questions right away and again told me stuff I never thought I would hear from a man that is into competition like he is!!!! I can just imagine the stuff he doesn't tell others!!!! WOW... I wish I knew even a 1/4 of that!

What else can I say... Deal with them once and actually get to know them... and you will find no one better!

HAISLEYS... you guys are the best no matter what others say!!!!!

I took a trip to the shop and was dissapointed. I had figured that the machine work was all accomplished in house, and when I found out they farm it all out to other companies I was having second thoughts. Then after spending most of the day talking with Curt, and figuring out a build sheet, he was supposed to get back with me on pricing. Two weeks later called and left a message, two more weeks another message and still to this day nothing. It was the third week in september when I drove 300 miles to visit the shop. Yes Curt was very informative and helpful during my trip but maybe customer service isn't the #1 priority.

I just want my money! I have my own business. I don't have a lot of cash to just loose. I have so much work also, actually to much and I am straight up with my customers. I tell them when I don't have the time and if it will take a long time. If they still want me to do the work then great. But I answer every phone call and always call everyone back and I mean everyone.

I had good luck with them in the past. Got some women on the phone the first time I called. Made my order... . got it 2 days earlier than I expected and was happy with the product.

Later found that I could have gotten it locally for a bit cheaper but then again I didn't order it my fiance did for a x-mas present.

to date I have tried ordering something from them and have gotten a buisy signal everytime I try calling. I think they either have to much business and can't get it all done at once or they don't have enough and are working other jobs and doing this work on the side?

Couple of things one should remember on trying to get ahold of them. They are very busy, I know this cause I am a dealer for them and as all vendors would like is for customers to deal direct with there dealers. Yes I have a number that I can get right though, on the same token Patty does not have a dealer list on her site to help you guys out, so that is something that I have mentioned to her.

As far as the CC card it does take time to reverse the charges upwards to a week or better. For the phone and Haisley it is hard to get through, I have been there in the past, but she has always returned my calls unless they are out of town, but I do get notified.

One thing to remember with dealers as far as myself I give better pricing than Haisley for there products. It is not to take away from them but it is done to relieve the amount phone time they spend with customers. This goes for most company's on the internet, you can always get better deals from the dealers than the manufacturer. This is done again cause the vendor would rather deal with the dealer and get the order done and shipped and let us dealers deal with the customer.

Think about this and see upset you would be upset; You are a vendor, you get a call and the guy wants to ask a lot of questions about what route he should go with anything, motor, transmission, axels, etc... Anyway you spend close to an hour on the phone with him hoping to make a sell, and at the end of the converstion the customer wants to think about it and then you find out later he bought the products you suggest from some one else, this happens alot trust me. Now since you just wasted an hours time, or even a half hour, how many people that know what they want could have gotten through? This is where your frustration comes from and the vendors, not only Hasiley, but others in the market. I know for a fact I am in touch all the time with my vendors, weather I am visiting them, e-mail, or on the phone.

Point is you are going to get the same product from the dealers of such for less the cost as you would have direct and then it becomes the dealers problem to deal with the vendor if something goes wrong and you are looking for answers. Later Jim.
