I have always felt the Rams sit too low in the front, especially when empty. This look is exaggerated on the 2500's since the rear height is greater. While my 98. 5 did not come equipped with a plow package (ie HD springs) it has been pushing a 7. 5' straight poly blade for the last two winters. Perhaps the extra weight of the plow, plus the hefty cummins has softened the front springs, so now I am searching for a correction. Possible solutions include HD springs, a spacer, or air-levelling system. What experience is out there?

GWS,

I know what you mean. When I bought my truck new, the nose was a lot lower than the rear.

I understand that D/C designed them this way. They are made to have a load in the back.

I hated the look. I wanted my truck to be close to level. Had to bring up the front about 2" to be close.

I ended up getting a pair of "leveling" springs from Skyjacker. A new set of longer shocks came with them. It brought up the front end about 2. 5". I was a happy camper. Looked like a 4x4 should.

The kit I got has been upgraded since then. I don`t even remember the part #.
Don`t bother checking the dealer for the HD plow package springs. Those thrucks that have the package still are not level.

A lot of aftermarket companies have addressed this problem. There are some good & inexpensive leveling Kits available for our trucks.

Use the search feature the website has. We had a bunch of threads on this and how to improve it.
