I plan on doing some work on the electrical and will be disconnecting the batteries.
In the past, after re-connecting batteries the radio was locked and required entering a 4-digit anti theft unlock code or password.

I realize I can go to the dealer to get it unlocked, but would like to retrieve the code before I start.
Anyone know how to display the code thru the radio/entertainment system display menus?
2018 2500 with Uconnect 8.4

Thanks

Stopped by the dealer this morning and asked if they could give me the 4 digit radio unlock code. Service rep told me to go see the parts dept.
Parts guy asked for registration and my ID, entered the VIN into the system and told me that they also need the radio serial number.

I'm not going to remove the radio just so I can read the serial number.

I have not disconnected the batteries yet, plan on doing it this weekend.

I may be over reacting because I don't know this truck like I did my older vehicles.
My 05 Sprinter van needed the radio code every time I disconnected the batteries, I'm beginning to think that this truck may not need it.

My truck is a '13 with the 5.0 Uconnect and I just had both batteries disconnected and took the radio out. When I put it all back together, the radio didn't ask for the code. It came right on.

I just installed two Odyssey 1350 battery's in 3500 never even through about the code, radio came on like normal.

To my knowledge the radios know in which vehicle they are installed by the BUS, as long as it stays in the same vehicle as long it doesn't need a code.
