How to distinguish btw. 04 and 04.5?

When looking at trucks, how do you distinguish between '03-04 and '04. 5 engine?

The 04. 5 will have a catalytic converter located under the passenger seat. The engine data plate will have horse power at 325. An 04 will not have a cat. The maximum stock horsepower on the data plate will be 305 hp.

The white label on the driver side of the valve cover will list it. The 04. 5's were made starting in January of 04. The label will list the date of production and the rated hp/torque

turbo wastegate is electronic on the 04. 5's and mechanical on the 03-04's. most of them cats got dumped right away :--) .
