how to explaine?

Ill start with how it started. I was drivng to a concert last night with this girl I had been talking to for a while and 2 of her friends. When one girl in the back asked what those things on my A-piller where, after telling them what they where and what they did all 3 of them had a blank look on there face and couldnt belive that I knew what they did and hooked them all up and installed it myself. I know I didnt excpect them to know words like boost presure, turbo, EGT's and stuff so I was stumped trying to find a way to tell them what they did in a way that they would truely understand. So now for the question, how do yall out there with all the guages and switches explane what they do to people that have no idea what those things are.

Ditto what big jake said. The guys understand when I explain it to them, but the girls give me the deer in the headlights look. The simple explanation is that your truck makes so much power that you have to kepe track of what it's doing so oyu don't mess something up and you put them in yourself so that you could have exactly what you want and know that it was done right. The romp on it and let them see what you mean.
