I have the new Dipricol gauges for my 03. I notice that the EGT is brighter than the Boost and both are a little different than the stock gauges. Anyone have a fix? I thought I read something about this, but now I can't find the post. Any info will take.

I was thinking about di Pricols but now this makes my decision easier.

I am now narrowed down to Isspro EV series or Autometer Cobalt series. I love the cobalts the best for looks but they're major $$ and the boost only goes to 35. I may take the plunge for the Cobalts and upgrade the boost later when it comes out. It'll be awhile before I outgrow 35psi anyway.

i'm thinking of doing a 0-35 boost & pyrometer mounted in individual cups on the dash in the 2 5/8" size, and a pair of spa's mounted to the steering collum pod [oil press, water temp - fuel press, oil temp]

I think if you were to either disconnect the bulb and let the LED do all the illumination or replace with a smaller bulb it would be a lot closer. Haven't had a chance to try it on my gauges yet but I did a little experimenting with a dealer display and I think that just disconnecting the bulb would work. Don't have an answer to the color question. I don't think it is that far off to bother with. IMHO

i tried my dipricol EGT guage first with only the LED light and it was pretty green in comparison with the boost guage. i then wired the second bulb and had both the LED and Second bulb lighted, i didnt notice much of a difference. i think the way to go is to only use the second bulb and not the LED. I am going to try this next but I will have to cut the LED wires since i already have them soldered and shrink wrapped. Ill let you know how it looks.

well it looks better with only the white bulb lit and not the LED, apparently the LED is a green bulb. I cant get the guage apart to see if it can be replaced with a white bulb or not. once it gets dark i will be able to tell more. looks good in the garage with limited darkness but the very top of the guage where the number 8 is located is not illuminated very brightly. deffinatley looks closer to the boost guage now.

took the truck out tonight and the guages are almost identical looking with the lights on. only problem is the 8 on the egt guage is not lit. i am thinking the led bulb is located behind it and it is not getting any light. gonna try to take the guage apart today and see if i can remove the bulb and replace it with a white bulb. very happy with the appearance now.
