While rebuilding the motor, I had the injector lines re plated with the zink yellow (zink dichromate) for the factory finish. After being re-ashured :-{} by the plating house that they would be kept clean as they do this all the time, I received them back today not so clean!:mad: There seems to be alot of dust and loose crap around the tips of the lines where they bolt into the injection pump and injectors.

The question is how and with what do you use to flush all crap that might be inside these lines? There is not just a little bit around some of these tips either :mad: #@$%! :{ .

Help!!:{

Thanks,

Robert

Well I don't know the way a real mechanic (excuse me , technician) would do it, but I would use an outboard engine squeeze ball fuel line rig (because I have one), and pump some kerosene thru the lines. Diesel if you don't have kero.

Then when you get ready to fire up you can leave the lines OFF the injectors and turn the engine over to bleed them out... flushing anything you missed.

You are correct in wanting to flush them... absolutely necessary.

Hope this helps.

Jay

edit... I would NOT use air. . you might get moisture in there.

just blow through them with a blow gun,spray some brake or carb cleaner through them and then blow them out with a blow gun to dry them and help remove anything the cleaner wouldnt.

I agree. I use starter fluid and compressed air for most clean up jobs.
