I still haven't swapped out my transmission oil for the Amsoil as I don't have a squeeze bottle to install it. In the past, I simply used a 1/4" diameter hose jammed onto the end of a 1 quart gear oil bottle which worked well. But the Amsoil bottle has a huge neck and no spout for a hose.

Although this seems academic, what have you guys used to get the Amsoil into the transmission?

I bought a hose that has a fitting on the end that screws onto the oil bottle, works similiar to your set up. Or just spend 10-20 bucks and buy a suction gun at your local auto parts store, I use that as well. Works great.

I'll be doing mine this weekend. I plan on using the same pump I use for getting gear lube into the lower unit of my boat. Don't think it cost that much (West Marine), and moves a quart of fliud pretty fast. It seems like a heavy-duty version of a liquid soap dispenser. Maybe you could find a pump from a big bottle of hand-soap, etc.

I bought a cheap funnel from Walmart that had a clear tube on a fitting that could be screwed off the funnel and onto the amsoil bottle. No problem changing mine with it. It even had a twist on-off function to turn on the oil flow. It was rectangular and red plastic, if that helps.

Amsoil Inc. sells a pump that fits the bottles. Stock # is G-2039 less than $10. 00

Take a look in your pantry. I stole the pointed squeeze top off of a honey bear, and I used it to fill my transmission, differentials, and transfer case. All of the amsoil products use a wide mouth that the cap screws on perfectly.

Take the middle lower/lowest bolt out of the inspection plate, let the fluid drain. Then I put the bolt back in and took the filler plug out. I got the clear hose off one of those suction gun kit's and cut the top of the gear oil bottle slid the hose on it and tipped it up and filled her up. It was easier for me to tip the bottle up, then to use that suction gun I had.

I used the Penzoil Syncromesh, which comes in the tall bottles with the little pointed tip on it. I think I was able to tip the bottle and pour it directly into the fill hole. Now I'm not sure how I did it. I might have used a small funnel with a long stem on it.

I did mine after I installed my new clutch. Since the shifter was out anyway, I just removed the inspection plug and poured it in the top of the transmission until it started to run out. You probably don't want to go to this extreme, but it is a way to do it. Took about 10 minutes to get the shifter out, and absolutely no mess as long as you put a pan under the inspection plug. You should have seen me trying to put fluid in the transfer case with a turkey baster though!

I have been using the pump from Amsoil that Wayne mentioned above. It's simple, clean and easy to use, and for a plus it's cheap.

good luck

DO NOT put it back on the honey bear!!!

No matter how much you like the smell of gear oil, it tastes terrible... .....

Ok, here it goes

I use amsoil in my 6 speed as it make the transmission shift nice in the cold weather, and after 250,000 plus miles of towing an 9000lbs gooseneck trailer , the 6 speed still works like it did on day one.

fire back !!!!!!
