I just took the starter off a couple of months ago to put in new contacts, however, I guess because of my fuel leak, which has soaked everything down there, the copper bolt moves before the nut loosens. I even held the entire cable assembly (as well as I could) in my left hand while using a impact driver in my right hand, trying to spin it off. If I could hold the bolt somehow, I think it would come off.
Is the cable long enough so I can cut it off close to the terminal? This seems my best bet right now. Unless I can replace the fuel line without taking off the starter off, I'm stuck until I get another electric terminal and LarryB cable crimper, I can't be without wheels while I'm waiting for the mail.
Surely the cable can stand an inch taken off it-unless somebody knows how to take this nut off.
