How to get smilies and icons to work?

I have posted this on other sites and no help, so I will try here. How do you get all the different Smilies to work, I would like to use pick and choose other ones than we have here.

and also where do you find all the different ones that people use.

If you right click on the picture or icon, it will pop a box, scroll down to properties, and that box will usually tell you what the website it came off of, but not always.

the way i insert the smilies into the message is first copying the location from the site i use. i pick the smile i want from the site, then right click on it and select properties. from properties, i highlight the address (url) and copy it. then when i get back to the message screen i use the ubb code by doing the #ad
codes around the url i selected. then the image appears...
