Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) how to i.d. hot rod vp

well like the title says im trying to see if i have a hot rod vp. the guy i bought it from says it is but a buddy of mine thinks it isnt and i wanna know so that i know what i got. so is there any way one can tell by looking at it if its a hrvp or a stocker. one thing is it does look like i newer pump

I'm not sure you can tell looking at the outside of the pump. You might give Industrial Injection a call.

I know my schied pump has hot engraved on the plate with the #'s. not sure if II does that or not?
