Whats a dog do outdoors? It lays in the shade. No different in the truck.

I wouldn't want to be your dog!!! The shade in a truck is still 130+! And I think you will find most places you go will highly frown on a dog being outside the vehicle tied to the truck! Might get animal control called on you.

Truck cap is silver, No pictures but I just built a plywood shelf on the right side from bulkhead to wheel well, not sticking out past wheel well so plywood would still fit in the bed. I found a used rear air unit at a salvage yard. I think it was a van (mopar). Got the hoses through a van conversion shop cause he knew what I needed. One thing though, our a/c units use a venturi tube to change freon from gas to liquid, keep this in mind when plumbing your lines. It really helps to find a good a/c guy to help you with this. As it took me about three different tries to get it to work correctly. When I did this, everyone thought I was out of my mind. Still works after ten years and it keeps the dogs comfortable even in Tucson,Az

I'm wondering, how long are you guys leaving your dogs in the truck?

I just roll the windows down a bit and it's never been an issue. Of course I'm just running in a store for 10-15 mins at most.

Nate, in Texas that is enough time to kill a dog, even with the windows down! It will get so hot in a vehicle here I had a cassette tape in the case sitting on my dash, when I came out it had warped so bad the ends were touching!!!

I'm not sure if your referring to me? but I would never let me dog suffocate! He may as well be another brother cause that's how good I treat him.

Not referring to you at all nate. You see it on tv every summer. what worse is when someone leaves a baby on the car. I seen it lst summer on the news where a mom got out of her morning ritual, and forgot about the baby. Sad but true.
