Allright, my dad just bought an 06, and has decided to sell the 92. I know I know traitor. Anyway, I can get close blue book values off of any of the normal sites for that model year truck, but how do you figure the value of accessories?? It has an NV4500, hydratech hydroboost, e-brake, banks exhaust, banks 14cm housing on an hx35, lucas POD's, engine driven on board air, weld racing wheels, custom 45 gallon spare tire fuel tank, full gauges, tweaked pump, 4 wheel air bags, 5th wheel hitch, 2nd gen 20/40/20 front seat, and those are only the major things. Would you add up the cost to make all the mods and then take a ceratain percentage? Anybody out there sell alot of trucks. I understand that you never get what you put in, but the mods have to be worth something. We just want to come up with a fair price that will move the truck. thanks Phil

Wholly crap!!! Do you have any pics of this monster? You could just store it at my house and then you would not have to worry about it anymore!!!! ;)

Sorry  I can't help you with your questions, it sounds like a real nice ride.

The thing that will help you sell the truck the most is the paint and body-what condition is it in? Is it a std. or a clubcab? How many miles are on it?

Thanks, Dad is the original owner, and is meticulous about maintenance. Oil every 3000, fuel filter every 7500. We did all the mods and the nv4500 conversion. Never been wrecked, and the original paint is still shiny. Interior is pretty good, no stains, but normal 1st gen issues, (some cracked trim pieces) no cracks in dash. It is a club cab with 135k miles on it. It really is a clean truck, i just dont have any clue where to start with pricing

Oh yeah, he even has maintenance and fuel logs for every tank run through it. He is pretty OCD when it comes to that kind of stuff.

No joke, once we get a price worked up, i am going to list it here on the TDR. I figure, this is one of the few places that people will truly appreciate the truck for what it has and what it is worth.

Boy that's tough. To the right person (like a fellow TDR gearhead) it would be worth a lot more than book. OTOH, the average buyer might consider the truck to be a bit of a "morph" since so much has changed.

In the end you still have a '92 truck with 130K. That hurts the value of the accessories a lot in my view. In the non-TDR world I'd guess 6-7K, but I'd post it here on the classifieds and see what it's worth the a TDR member.

Hey Rubberneck,

i sent ya a PM on your truck. If it's the right color(s) . I'd like to buy it... Thanks,

Chuck

If you still have the stock compnents, put them back on, then sell them seperately. You'd come out ahead of the deal, if you have the time and patience to wait it out. Naturally, I'd leave the transmission, but the ari ride, e-brake, Banks turbo, etc, etc, can be taken off.

I'd start about $10,500/obo and negotiate down to what you think is fair. I know used accessories normally go for 1/3 to 1/2 new retail if they are in new condition. Get a calculator, and do some figurin'

Daniel is probably pretty close. Some people stay away from trucks with lots of mods. Either because of the extra cost of stuff they probably don't care to have anyway.

I'd do as he said, and sell as many of the mods as possible, seperately from the truck. Will take less of a hit.

Sounds like a sweet truck. :D If I had the money, I'd buy like it is. :D But,... ... . I don't. Would love to have a first gen, in place of the Ford. :D

Thanks for the replies, I had hear that 1/3 thing before, and that is kind of what we were trying to figure out. No real way to know what everything would cost, as most of the mods were done over the past 14 years, but i know the mods would cost more than the truck for sure. Thing is honestly, we just want to move the truck to a good home. Not really interested in stripping the truck. He certainly is not in a hurry to sell, however we just want to put a fair price on it to move it. I think all of our time in the garage for the next few months is going to be devoted to getting the 06 ready for dads summer "trucker vacation"

There is a wanted add in the classifieds for a truck like this. I'd actually like to make you an offer myself, but I need to sell my house to get the cash. I figure I might go to 12k for the right truck if everything was nice. I just saw a 4x4 clubcab dually with 20k original miles on it for $13k on the autotrader.

One of those wanted adds is mine :D ... I'm all over this one. . Just waiting on some pics and will probably be driving up north very soon. . Sounds like a real nice rig...

Just purchased a '93 club cab from the original owner about six weeks ago. Stock except for guages. Runs perfect. It seems he was retired and used it to snowbird south. You'd have to see to appreciate how clean it was. I don't think he understood how desireable the 1G's are, especially clean ones. Paid less than 6K and I'm happy as a clam.
