All that holds the seat cushion in place is the seat cover that is removed by several clips along the seat frame. The power seat switch and the recline handle will need to come off also in order to slip the cover off.

With that said, it is extremely easy to remove the seat. There are 4 bolts holding the seat to the tracks. The entire job start to finish takes less than a half hour when removing the seat.

On my 01 there are 4 bolts(1 on each corner) that hold the cushion assembly to the seat frame, then the cushion cover is held in place with clips that hook onto the steel rods of the frame.

I did my 06 in sig in about 20 minutes, did not remove seat, just the clips. Biggest part was getting the seat fabric aligned correctly after installing new cushion. Worth every minute.

Good Luck, Luke

thanks for the help

When I did the cushion in my 03, I found it easier to just remove the seat. It was 4 bolts and a wiring harness plug and it was out. It made it easy to do the cushion replacement cause I had it on the work bench.
