How to remove glass from towing mirrors

Maybe you have experience or a service manual to help me.



I'd like to remove the glass from my towing mirrors. I want to change the position of the bubble. It looks like I may be able to switch the passenger/driver sides, and flip the glass, to get it where I want (outer-lower, when folded down). I have the heaters which, I've been told, stick right on to the back. Hopefully, there's a disconnect plug for the electrical.



There appears to be some clips, but I'd like some reassurance before I dig in. How exactly do I remove the glass, and are they, indeed, symmetrical?

I was talking with bighammer today about your desire to swap mirrors. He looked it up in his manual and it looks like it would be a very easy swap.
