I am willing to bet that this is the stupidest question of all time, but here goes...

I have a burnt out lamp. Right Rear Stop Lamp.

I am looking in my alldatadiy subscription, and it says to remove screws and remove unit. Diagram shows two screws from the side, which I got no problem, but two that appear to be behind the lens. How do I get my screwdriver through the lens to remove the remaining screws?

If it helps, I have one of those silly ram-ish looking tail lens covers that the dealer installed with a bunch of blow-me chrome accessories. Could this be covering up some scres which would otherwise be obvious to me?

It puzzled me for a minute when my "Light Out" started dinging at me on a trip in the Canadian Wilderness. I pulled over when I coulnd't stand it anymore and after getting the screws out, I just gave it a good tug and out it came. It has a couple spring clips that keep it in there.

EDIT: I noticed you're in Canada. We were on our way home from Wawa and Lake Superior Provincial Park. Just incredible!

I tried the 'Good Tug' method and it worked.

As a long time abuser of the 'Good Tug', 'Bigger Hammer', 'Force it, if it breaks it needed replacing anyway' method of auto-repair, I've learned to ask first from time to time.

Thanks again.

I sort of thought there wasn't anything that couldn't be disassembled with the right pry bar or hammer... . (Then I had a front axle joint go bad)
