How to replace ign. key tumbler 03/3500

Need help on this. Fan blower will not blow unless you jiggle key just a little. Is this something that should be done by a dealer for some reason or can it be done by anyone! Thanks

I have the same problem ,although I will bet it will go to your tilt wheel next.

Mine got worse and the key wiggle thing quit working and now I have to move my tilt wheel to make it work. I hope you get some gpd advice on fixing this. I could use the advise also.

I think it's just a matter of a few screws and and an electrical plug or 2 once the cylinder has been removed.

Toremove the cylinder, put the key in, turn to run, depress relaese pin and pull out.

There are a few wires that can sometimes get cut because of the tilt inside the column covers, look for broken wires. At least this is what I found on mine.

thanks for the info. I called and asked a dealer about this they said it would need to be reprogramed after the tumbler was replaced I don't know! I am still looking for some more info. please. If the tumbler was the prob. but they would have to do a diagnostic check and on and on. So i am still hopeing for more info.
