Miss Cleo's Tip for May

While I was gone on my weekend last week, exploring ghost towns and such, someone asked me if I would considering writing a book about them. You know, kind of a picture book to document things in their present state.

Seems interesting...

I have no idea how you find a publisher, how you do any of this. If anyone out there has any knowledge, or suggestions for places that would or do... Your input is appreciated.

my dad had alot of his medical works published. all you need is a rough draft, manuscript, or outline. write or call any publishing co and inqire about how they take new submissions. i'm sure that all be easily done nowadays by computer. after that, be prepared for numerous turn- downs, but you never know. we've got two of my dad's books on our shelves now. ;)

I'm beginning to think TDR is not a hotbed of published authors :)

Of course, I didn't expect it to be, just thought it worth asking.

Sent an email with someone who can help you.

Saw a cool picture book recently where the guy traveled around the west 25-30 years ago taking pictures then returned to the exact same spot in the last five years for new picture. Some of the results were shocking. If I was into nature type photos such as you are I'd start labeling them with GPS coordinates. Never know how you might fill your time 30 years from now...
