How to set the idle?

How do I set the idle? What should my idle be set at?

On cold mornings the truck acts as if it is sick for a minute or so and then runs fine. I let the truck idle for a few minutes before I drive off to work.

At least 750 in D with the AC on. 800 is better.

I set mine following these instructions It's a 10mm nut and bolt and I had to do it by feel as I could not actually see the nut and bolt.
