How to tell "build date" from VIN?

Is there a web site? just want to find my trucks build date

Read the sticker on the driver's door jam. It will tell you the build date.

Seems to me that there is a sticker on bottom of hood near latch that tells you date and plant. Will check tomorow.

The engine has a sticker with a build date on it also. I don't think you can determine much from the vin as far as build date goes. Check for labels on the body like Shadrach says to. The vin will tell you the country and therefore plant assembled.

The data plate is on the side of your timing cover, the one that lists your CPL,Timing and so on.

Take your VIN# to a dealer, he can print you off the build sheet with every little detail of the construction of your truck. It's usually two or three pages long.



While you're at it, you can check the DC service history of your truck.

I heard that you can use quickserve without making an account but can only put in 1 or 2 engines

The vin can give you the yr [ 8th digit ] , [ 10th eng. ] and thats for all cars & trucks , but the vin is mostly dodge orented , the last 4 are where & other dodge stuff , so refure to the eng. # for spesific to eng.
