How do I check if the crank position sensor is good or bad? I already verified the power and ground to the sensor. Is there a way to check with a volt meter if the sensor is still good? Any help will be great.

First is your tach working if it is engine speed sensor(crank position sensor) is working.

Second check the signal wire with engine not runnning you key in run position, you shouldn't have any volts (recently a member had aprox 3 volts on the signal wire with out engine running is ESS was bad).

If signal wire reads 0 volts check signal wire while engine is running you should have a voltage reading but I"m not sure how much( but at idle it should be low).

Also the power wire should only have 5 volts which means the sensor should never put out more than 5 volts( the rpms would have to running very fast to put out 5 volts).
