I hear alot of good about sliding the fuel plate forward.

1. Where is it. . ?

2. will I need a new gasket?

Also can someone give me some info on how to "tweek" my '94 stock turbo?

I believe it was ILLFLEM (forgive me if I'm wrong) that told me a few tricks and now my turbo sounds great... love to hear it sing. . (thanks)

Valve job went smooth but wound up with the grey valve cover gakets instead of the black... What is the diffrence?

Maybe I should change my username to : Lots-o-questions... .

But all GREAT info so far guys... thanks.

It's right under your dip stick on the other side of your brake reservoir. It in under the domed cover (AFC) that has the alan plug in it. You will need to remove a few things to get to it but not a big deal. I don't remember changing any gaskets, as I do remember there being a rubber seal in a grove already in place. Losen the two screws on the plate and slide it forward. The only hard part is getting the four bolts off to get to the plate. The hardest is the top left, it is the break off screw. I took a sharp screw driver and loosened it that way, then replace it with a regular bolt. Good luck and if you like smoke :) turn the star wheel all the way up! It is under the alan plug in the same location. Take a screw driver and flip it forward(tward the grill) untill you get the amout of smoke you like. Mine is all the way forward and I do not think that it is too much smoke.

Here's instructions for installing a different plate, same idea except that you're just moving your old one. Make sure to scribe a line in the housing to mark the stock position, you will need it if you ever install another plate. Sliding the stock plate forward is notorious for high egts, be sure to have at least a pyro gauge.

These instructions say to reuse the tamper proof screw, I always replace all four with allen head cap screws, makes it easier for the next time.
