How tough is 06 automatic's

I've always had 6 spd's in my Dodge Cummins rigs but as I a get a little older I would not mind the auto. I want to order a new truck but don't know if the auto will take it for very long. I plan on putting on a Edge and a exhaust brake now that the auto is made for the Jacobs. I'll be full timing with a 12500 lb. fifth wheel for a couple of years with this rig.

Anybody have any option, or experience with the new automatic in the 06 Dodge's

48re is a carry over from the previous years. thrust washer update done mid year 04(for late 04. 5's and 05's. ). they still have the worst tc in the industry. tc and v-b swap we have one with 59,000 miles and 480+rwhp. the one I cannot wait to see is the 6 gear that was reported(from engineer working on the 68re) to hold 1000+ lbs :--)
