Lancaster PA who's going to "The Buck"

All Mopar Southern Nationals THIS WEEKEND

Just wondering what all I missed?

I hope someone got Pics.

Oh well I did get free hat, shirt, and several door prizes at the Cummins open house not to mention the FREE food.

I got the shirt from my girlfriend, she actually won it in a seminar about the 2003 dodge trucks.

The question was: Did the new Cummins pas the Windy's Test?

She yelled out YES before all of the other big mouthes did and the fella threw her a shirt.

I want to see if you all can figure out what the Windy's test is, it took me a few minutes.

Adam, I was there and had a great time, Many thanks to all who helped put it on, but especially to Dave Goerend and Amianthus. Some guys put down some good numbers on the dyno, but I will let them gloat I mean tell about it, LOL. A good time was had by all, and some money was raised for charity.

It was great!

We had a great time. Thanks to Dave and Bob Goerend for their time and the use of Dave's shop. They're top notch people. Thanks also to Aron Howlett (Amianthus) for all of his hard work in putting this event together. Thanks Aron!! We had some very impressive trucks there, and we were able to raise a nice amount of money for 2 charities.

We had a great group of guys and wives there again this year. It was a little chilly at night (especially for the tenters and truck sleepers), but we had a great time around the campfire. It was nice to meet some new friends as well. We'll plan to do it agin next year.

Next up: Thunder in Muncie!Oo.

Thanks to all for such a great weekend! Thanks also to JohnRV4 for use of the fuel pressure gauge. I am calling the stealer in the AM to schedule the lift pump replacement :(

I had a great time as well, but a little cold in the tent. I would like to thank all the people that help out. Now looking forward to Muncie.

Hey all,

I had alot going this weekend but, my son and I made it down for a while on Sat. It was great, even my 14year old son had a great time. Thanks Dave and Bob Goerend, great guys. Thanks Aron for all the work ahead of time and the running of the dyno for a bunch of diesel heads. And thanks to you Fireman Dave. Learned alot again, watched JohnE install gov springs.

As far as the dyno numbers went, I got a 325HP and 630 torque

but, I had alot of tire slippage so I'm not sure what it really is.

Thanks to all that was there.

Dennis

great time

I don't think anybody could have asked for more and knowone could complain well organized and set up, it also helped having a awsome group of guys to hang out with.

thanks for the use of the dyno

Many thanks to all the people who put it together. The FREAKS didn't even get kicked out of the campground. :D

Lurch

Thanks to everyone for coming down to the event and for helping to make it a success. Thanks should go out to Fireman Dave, Extreme1, and a whole list of others for making all of the logistics happen so flawlessly. Everyone pitched in to help us keep everything moving well. Thanks again.

We should also thank the many sponsors of this event. Edge products, Piers Diesel Research, South Bend Clutch, Fast Coolers (Thanks again Verlyn), LaCrosse Diesel Services, Technical Services (couldn't be done without docdyno's help), Geno's Garage, and GB transmissions for allowing us to beat on their dyno for two days. Remember these guys when you want to start with mods or get parts for your trucks. They treated us pretty good, so we should do the same. If nothing else, give them a call and let them know that what they donated was appreciated.

We tripled our donation this year for charity. With the runs on Sunday we broke the $1200 mark. That's pretty good, considering that we had, what, 19 trucks hit the dyno? That's quite a donation per truck. Not to mention those who didn't hit the dyno.

For those of you who ran on the dyno and want to analyze the numbers from the dyno, drop me an email -- email address removed -- and I will send it to you. Please include your real name.

Sunday we ran Roadwarrior's truck again and modified some things to see if we could get it to stick to the rollers. No such luck. The dyno would only get to a paltry 402. 7 HP (which is better than we could register last year) and then the tires would start to slip and the run was ruined. Wally19 turned in 392 HP and then his tires went for a ride. It was pretty cool. I didn't run because I know my tires won't hold. I broke them loose at 381HP while testing and couldn't get any improvement.

After we were finished on Sunday, I started talking to Dave about future developments with that dyno. I'm gonna take it easy for a while before we start to monkey with it, but I think he is considering a new set of rollers. 100" (and knurled) I think. We were also talking about replacing the cabinet with a computer controlled unit to facilitate a more precise ability to measure power. He also stated that he is seriously considering purchasing a set of slicks for us. We'll see how things go. I do know that he was very happy with the data interface device we had and how it could log data. So things can only get better. If we have computer control, it'd be much easier to test automatics too.

Other than that, I was very happy with the way dinner turned out (thanks Lurch for them "cool" sausages). Everyone brought something very good and nobody brought the same stuff. We even had lime green Jello (courtesy of Mrs. Extreme1).

I had a great time seeing everyone again. Getting advice on how to treat my new camper (the maiden voyage went well, with only a few hiccups). Now I've got to get the camper ready (repaired) to go for Muncie (if I can find a spot to put it). I hope to see some of you guys there then.

I hope that a good time was had by all. I promise it will be as good or better next year.

Great fun for a great cause.

I had a real good time, thanks to Dave Goerend, Fireman Dave, and Amianthus, for a very well organized and smoothly run event. Thanks John, for checking my lift pump, and thanks Nixter for being a sport and not giving me a black eye. I look forward to meeting up with you guys again real soon.

Did I mention it was cold? 28F (low) Friday night, you would not have wanted to put a brass monkey outside. We slept/froze in a tent Friday night. Saturday night, we stayed in our bed, at home.

The dyno run was a lot of fun, a wide variety of trucks showed up. Mine ran a 231/448 stock(see sig). I was pretty happy. This was before I installed the "Nixter" box that I won at the auction Saturday afternoon.

Dyno Day

I must be the last one to post that attended. We had a great time. Aron spent a great deal of time planning this with Dave G, and a pat on the back is definitely in order for both. I guess we can pat Fireman Dave too, but he'll like it better on the tush.

He'll even give you the senic tour of Northern Fayette county to Dave's shop from the campground.

Food was great, camping was fun, and the nights were cold. Hats off to the tenters. They are a hardy bunch'

I posted better than expected with the 95. 337 hp and 663 tq. so I'm a happy camper.

Thanks to all and it's really nice to be able to put a face with a chat freak.

just wanted to thank everyone who came and made a good event out of it want to really thank arin (hope i spelled that right) for all the work on the dyno to change to torque reading to hp. my wife darla talked to the walmart store in rochester and sounds like they will match our donation to the ronald mcdonald house we are going to try to the the walmart in des moines to match the donation to camp sunny side so at the moment we now will have $1200 for ronald mcdonald house in rochester and $600 for camp sunnyside and if the walmart in des moines also gives matching funds we will have a total of 1200 for them also for a grand total of prox $2400. 00 thanks again for all who made it possible for the kids in need.

It was nice NOT working on the truck this time! I got to "hang out" and chat with everyone. We do need to do something about the temperture, I'm still working on getting the feeling back in my toes! Winter camping in May!

It was a great time even thought I was only there for Sunday. Next year I will make sure no weddings conflict.

Truck put down 392. 5 HP and 783 lb/ft Torque before the tires let loose. :) I'm satisfied so far, still room for improvement.
