:( Well a few week back (22 March) I developed a howling sound in the front end during right and left turns. Louder to the right than the left. Took her down to the local DC boys and said I has a problem and I also has a 100,000 bumper to bumper get out of jail free card. They took a look and said they wanted to keep it cause I had a bonafide problem. They paid for the rental. They replaced both bearing hubs and all the ball joints and checked the sway bar bushing which were tight. . Got it back and works great. Took it up to Les Schwab Tires to have the alignment checked out and they only had to tighten up the toe in by 1/2 degree and made a small adjustment to how the steering wheel lines up in the cab. No wandering and no grinding howl during turns. That was at 54303 miles. :)

It is now 18 April with 55899 miles and I hear the howling comming back, but only during a left turn. :confused: I took it back in and said we still have a problem. DC Dealer took it out and confirmed the noise and kept it again over night. Put it on the rack and checked it out. They cannot find anything wrong and the new hubs are smooth in action. No wobble side to side, still got 65 percent of my original brakes with no abnormal wear on them. :(

Brought it home and put it up on my stands and pulled the front wheels off and took a look myself. I have the factory manual and everything checks out, but this is not what I need. :{

Need to find this before things go south and I get :mad:

Anybody got any ideas. I would appreciate good advice. Axles have been set up with Amsoil since 10,000 miles and there are no leaks anywhere. Thanks for reading this. :confused:

I just got back from a cross country trip with my rig and the 11. 5 camper. As I started down a 16 mile 6% & 7% grade east of Almagordo, NM I began to hear a slight grinding noise in right turns. I could hear it as well in the left turns, but not as lound. By the time I got to the bottome of the grade I had the bearings falling out of the left front wheel. Managed to nurse it into a dealer in Almagordo just as my brakes went out and we nearly went through the side of the dealership.

Ended up being the bearing assembly which cost me nearly $600. 00 installed and two days in the dealership parking lot. They were kind enough to allow us to hook up to their electricity. DC is real proud of that front wheel bearing assembly.
