I'm getting ready to prepare the 06 for more power (trans, turbo). I was wondering at what hp level the cp3 will fail to keep up rail pressure. Right now, I just want to be able to run the Smarty at 170hp. I was planning on staying with stock cp3 and injectors. I may upgrade injectors later to something mild (50hp). Forgive me if this has been addressed, but I couldn't find it on a search.

On my 04, it was about 550 with larger injectors. If you are staying with stock injectors, and CP3, and only running the Smarty, you should be OK. The Smarty never caused me a rail pressure issue. When I stacked it with a TST, was when I could pull my rail pressure down.

The stock CP3 will allow you somewhere around 565-600 HP. By that power level, rail pressure will be dropping enough that you can't make more power, even if you are using a good lift pump like the FASS and still have good fuel pressure going to the CP3. You can use a combination of power adders, such as duration box, pressure box, injectors, Smarty, but you will still reach that impasse.

Mine seems to hold around 585hp on the dyno. I can certainly set TST and EZ with Smarty to a level that starts to drain the rail.

Anything over the triple stack that dynos that will start draining the rail and popping on the track about the end of 2nd gear.

My cp3 seems to do a little better than most with keeping up with fueling with my stack, but I am still running stock injectors also.
