hi everyone there goes my cherry, yeah my very first post on an awsome diesel forum. i've heard that stock injectors can only support 80-95 hp over stock ratings, any validity in that "romur"? thank you LA

Someone on here I think it was just last week posted that stock injectors can handle up to 500hp. You may want to check with KYLE or Tommeygun on that just to be sure.

I, also, remember reading recently about 500 HP on the stock injectors. While I'm no expert in these matters, it has been mentioned that you don't want to go much more than 65-70 HP with a "preasure only" box. Maybe, that's what you were thinking about.

PS: I believe there were a number of articles written about these "limiting factors" for preasure only boxes, in some of the past issues of the TDR.

The answer lies in how to interperate your question:

1) my stock injectors have made 496hp... - So the ability is there

2) how far can you modify a stock injector? Diesel dynamics has a 100hp DD3 (modified stocker), so I would guess thats about it right now

I know that will be one of the last things I do, only because I want to see how far I can take this engine without any internal work (greasy-hand work :-laf ) - My hands were perfectly clean whenI installed my turbo, seriously... :D
