Hey guys - thought I would put out another good review of the HTB2 turbo from HTT. I had settled on a set of 200hp Mach 5 injectors from Don M and was debating on what larger single to run with them.

I decided to give HTT a call and told them what I was doing with my truck, which is daily driving with an occasional tow, and their tech strongly recommended that I went with the 62mm wheel and 12cm2 housing! I was pretty skeptical of the smaller housing but I've got to say, I definitely made the right choice!

This turbo spools great with the Mach 5s - so great that I really can't tell any difference between my current setup and when I was running the 1. 6s with the stock charger! It's pretty much like I've added 110hp or more with no ill effects.

With the HTB2, I can still drive the Mach 5s with no smoke, and at WOT, it flows enough air that it nearly cleans up every bit of the smoke. I think with a little tweaking of the wastegate, I'll probably be able to be nearly smoke-free on a long run.

For the best part, I've yet to see my temps go over 1275*! This is on a long run on the interstate until I had to let out of it because of traffic. The temps will rise fairly quickly but it's like they hit a brick wall when they get close to 1300*. I'm really anxious to tow with it and see how it performs then. I would expect that it would do even better than unloaded.

I couldn't be happier with this turbo and I'm glad I went with HTT. They also have great customer service as an added bonus. ;) I'll keep posting results after I do something different with the truck. In the meantime, you can see what they have to offer on their website:

They also do upgrades to the HX35 as well. I think I may send my stock turbo to them for a little "freshen-up" and then decide what to do with it later.

I have had my htb2 on for a little over a week now, and has been great. I think I could use bigger injectors to get it to spool a little better, but overall a great turbo. I was going to look into the mach 4's, but if the 5's work that might be my new choice! ;)

We just installed an HTB2 and 130hp injectors on my brothers 99 this weekend and this combination is great also. The comp on the truck does a good job of keeping the smoke down as well as it can and the turbo keeps it cool. Great combo, glad we didn't pay the extra money for the bigger turbo, so far at least.

I to recently installed the HTB2 on my truck. I am very happy with it and my 155hp injectors, sweet combo, I was just curious what you guys are seeing for boost numbers out of the box. I've gotten 30lbs out of the box,33 lbs adjusting wastgate 3 turns and 38-40 with it blocked. I plan on putting a comp on in the future so I dont want to fiddle with it to much because it is a pita to adjust. Tanks

With the comp box on 4 or 5 I will see 40psi. , with the box on 1,2,3, or off it will get 30-32 psi range. I have not messed with the wastegate at all.

I've easily hit the 35psi mark on my 35psi gauge unloaded with the Mach 5s and EZ. And I believe I had a little bit more to go but I'm still trying to put a few miles on the turbo before I really let it rip. I'd like to set mine somewhere between 40-45.

I'm running Don's sixers with my poor old simple HX-40. Max EGT at top speed I've seen so far is 1350°F. Almost no smoke...

I'd say, if you want go with taller sticks do it right the first time. Six or maybe even more...

I'm pretty happy with my wimpy little Mach 3. 8's. :-laf They make my DZ 35/40 spin like crazy & I rarely see more than 1100* Now if I really have to toast some marshmallows & can turn up the APB

HTT is the best... . I am running the HTT Killer B which is the 64mm turbo. I also have a set of Don M 6 for a set up. The turbo is great but when i want ot have a little smoke, i can sure make it. Also i had a drag comp with it but i sold it. I looking to get a red line box. Also im thinking about sending the Killer B back ang getting a 66mm or 68 mm turbo. Thats the best thing about HTT you can upgrade when ever you want. Never can go big enough always go bigger or go home. Marco i was wondering how the the MAD ecm work with a red line box.

 I don't know... ... for sure. I have not done any testing with that box on my own. I've been in touch with two customers that have used the CaTCHER and the Redline, one was happy the other so an so. I guess it depends upon the mods done and the fine tuning of the system. Sorry I can't tell you much more than it SHOULD be a great combination.

Abuse? Me??  I must not be trying hard enough. I can't even wear out my OE lift pump. :-laf With the big sticks, there's not much point in the tap any way. Don says mach 4. 5's get it all out of the skimpy HO injector pump. I would have gotten them but Don said the 3. 8's were better for towing my pet ***** around. :p

I guess I'm supposed to say donkeys instead. :-laf
