I just installed a HTB2 turbo 64/14 on my 99 5 speed & wanted to see how big I can go on injectors? Right now I have 90 hp injectors installed, but it needs bigger sticks. I have the edge comp,3 piece manifold, air intake, 4 inch exhaust, intercooler boots, luk clutch & I do some towing [6-7 ton] Alittle sled pull here & there too. I want more power, but no egt problems. HELP!

See my sig. I am looking to go to an HTB2 62/12 or 62/14 in the near future and feedback I got off the TDR says that with my current mods and Mach II sticks, the HTB2 will be happy and even happier if I bump up to Mach IV's. Unfortunately, there is a hole in my wallet and the money I was saving for this has disappeared, so it's going to wait a while.

I would go with Don M's Mach 4's (150hp). You will have good/great everyday hp, and if you have EGT's problems when towing, you will be able to control them with the comp box and your right foot. I ran a similar setup for almost a year. The problem with a 64/14 when towing is that it will spool at a little to high of an rpm for my tastes. Just keep the rpm's up, and you will be able to handle quite a bit of fuel.

I run the setup in my signature and can tow an 8000lb truck, on a 20+5 gooseneck and only see about 1300 degrees if I let the RPM drop below 1800 on a grade in 6th gear. Usually it is right around 1200 if I drop to 5th it is usually about 1000. The truck with the 62/12 likes to be in the 2000+ rpm range towing if I am in 6th. I think part of it might be my injectors aren't the cleanest burning.

My brother's 99 is very similar to yours too. The setup works good. Tows a trailer well and egt's can be adjusted via right foot.

Get a good clutch too.

I have the luk clutch, but gonna go dual disk soon for sled pulling.
