Does anyone know of a Dyno in Cincinnati/Dayton OH area?

Hi all.

I have just about talked myself into getting a larger turbo for my truck. I would really like to put some twins on but I can't afford it a the moment. :( I already have a modified Hx 35 from HTT which I am happy with but would like more power and a little less EGTs. I'm looking at BD's Super B turbo and HTT's B2. The BD seems to be a good turbo for the $ and from what I understand includes the downpipe for the exhaust. The B2 don't come with a downpipe and is a little more expensive. Is a B2 that much better than the BD turbo? Anyone who has used/or is using one of these turbos? Any input would be appreciated. :)

I have one of the HTT B2 and really like it. Seems to have a very fast spool up and cools nicely. I have never dealt with BD, but have worked with HTT over the past couple months and can tell you that there customer service is top notch.

Since this is a turbo thread... does anyone know where the list of different turbo sizes is... I read it on here a few weeks ago. . been looking for hrs tonight. . can find it. .

Thanks

Bryan

the killer B2 that has a 64mm compressor should flow more air than the bd surper B turbo. i just ordered my killer B2 and from what ive read its a very beefy turbo, internal parts are as good or better as the Bomber series turbos. if your have the fuel a good turbo for 425-550hp. they also have the sled puller turbo now, which has a 66mm compressor, the larger 14cm2 housing and clipped turbine wheel for more air flow and less back pressure, but that might be too much for your needs. if your interested in the htb2 now is the time to get it, they are having a holiday sale. call steve up and he will set you up.

i just received my new BD super B monday. it now has an adapter ring that clamps to the outlet of the turbo. it appears to mate up with the original exhaust elbow. looks like all you have to do is remove the 2 locator pins on the elbow. there is also a clamp on elbow for the connection to the intercooler, since the outlet from the intake side needs to turn 90 degrees. as of yet, it is still sitting on the bench. i have had many problems this week with work and family health and have not begun the install yet. looks like a beefy turbo. hoping to get to it this weekend.

Any updates?

I too am looking into these turbos to upgrade my existing HX-35. Would like some feedback on either from anybody around the 375-450 rwhp range.

After a recent towing trip that made my egt issues more than noticeable I started looking harder at getting a new turbo. I'm probably looking at either the killer b2(64) or sled puller 66. Currently I think I'm in the lower 300's for hp and don't want a turbo that I couldn't spool at this level but also don't want to have egt problems the next time I add or tweak something. I would like to get laser cut delivery valves and have the pump maxed out. I also want a turbo that will be a good start for a set of twins. What is the minimum hp I need to run a sled puler 66 and how do they perform? Haven't heard much from any owners. My bhaf will be here any day now. Thanks for any help.

I decided to go with the HTT Killer B2 w/64 mm wheel. After having the turbo on for a couple of months I like more and more each time I drive it. :) It seems to spool twice as fast as the HX35/40/16cm hybrid I previously had. The truck pulls much harder in the upper RPMs also. While towing The EGTs are easy to keep in check as long as you just don't get stupid. I have a wastegated 12 cm housing gated @ 45 psi. I am debating on changing to a 14cm gated housing to reduce the drive pressure a little and maybe free up a few ponies in the upper RPMs since this package spools so well I think a 14 cm housing would be totally livable. I highly recommend this turbo for 400 to 500 hp trucks. ;)
