Fixin to upgrade turbos, however the choices of the 2 listed in title are quit similar in specs but still baffled as to which one to get. I'm going to be adding

modded cp3, stage 2 helix, extrude honed injectors, head studs, and high rate valve springs. which one would work best? Your input would be greatly appreciated !! Oh and have ready to install a SBDD 3850 lb. 12 puck feramic clutch.

( the bad guys cant have all the fast stuff )

dont forget extra $$ for shoes for this thing... . hehehe

I would think the pro street 66 with a stainless steel exaust housing would be more streetable. I have heard good things about them. And they look a cool gold colour when you pop your hood to show your buddies. Oo.

I'd have to agree with this, I think the Pro Street 66 with SS housing is tough to beat for a high performance streetable turbo. We are just now getting some time on them, but things look really good so far.

I really like the Silver Bullet 66, it can really move some air and with a good cam it will spool relative quickly. Project X Diesel uses this turbo to make 862 hp and run 161. 007 mph at the Texas mile. I have extensive data off the truck in all of the runs. The RPM data logger told a big story. Project X has a Stage 2 CP3 pump and the smaller Industrial Injection injectors, and on the 860 hp tune maintained 26,800 psi rail pressure The SB66 made 38 psi boost with 36 psi drive pressure. If this sounds like low boost, it’s because of the port work and cam. Boost is nothing but restriction anyway. The big news is you still have rail pressure left to make more power with bigger injectors.

i have a 2nd gen 24v but I love my silver bullet. the more fuel you throw at it the better it runs. my old turbo would peg 1600 in a matter of seconds but this silver bullet will keep me below 1500 unless I really lug it down then hold it WOT for 8-10 seconds.

i can't wait to add a cam to the mix and really get the air flowing and get some more usable RPM's.

We had a spread of 1740 to 1810 egt's in the traps with number 5 being the hottest, If some one could show me how to do a screen shot, I will post the run. Remember the run latest 27 seconds. The compressor out was as high as 400 degrees, this is to be expected on extended runs, What really was a pleasant surprising was that the Banks Technicooler cooled the intake down to 97 degrees , or 17 degrees over ambient . This was with or with out the nitrous. I will move the nozzle placement to the outlet side next time.

With the view of the data up on your PC, just hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard once. Then open MS Paint and hit "ctrl V" and it will past the screen shot into the paint program. You can manipulate the picture there and then save it as a . bmp or .jpg I believe. Then just upload it to your picture hosting place and link it here.
